Meet The Team

Anthony Dallatore, VMD

Veterinarian, Chief of Staff at Hockessin Animal Hospital, Part Owner [of Windcrest Animal Hospital Group]

Dr. Anthony Dallatore, VMD, graduated from the University of Delaware with a major in animal science, and minors in entomology and biology; then went on to graduate from the University of Pennsylvania with a major in small animals. Dr. Anthony is currently the Chief of Staff at Hockessin Animal Hospital and a co-owner of Windcrest Animal Hospital Group. Dr. Anthony has special interests in avian and small mammal internal medicine and surgery, and canine and feline internal medicine and surgery. Dr. Anthony is the proud father of twin boys, Sebastian and Donte, and his wife, Mary Ann, is a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Born and raised in Wilmington, DE, the Dallatore family includes Adalida, an Australian Shepherd/Pit Bull mix; a senior Havanese mix, Harriette; and a three-legged cockapoo named Dennis. In addition, the Dallatore’s are tolerated by four cats Walter, Winifred, Wilhelmina, and Graycie, and a ferret Mocha. Dr. Anthony enjoys outdoor activities, including hiking and fishing, and enjoys spending time with his family at their small fishing cabin on the Conowingo Reservoir.

F. Morgan Dawkins, DVM

Veterinarian, Medical Director of Windcrest Animal Hospital, Part Owner [of Windcrest Animal Hospital Group]

F. Morgan Dawkins, DVM, graduated from the University of Tennessee and is a co-owner of Windcrest, Hockessin, Talleyville, Graylyn Crest, and Centreville Veterinary Hospitals. Dr. Dawkins has a special interest in exotic species and orthopedic surgery. He has known since elementary school that he wanted to be a veterinarian. The most memorable experiences of his career were his first day working as a doctor, and the day he had a Bengal tiger cub as a patient.
Dr. Dawkins has served in the following capacities:

  • Past President and current board member of the Mid-Atlantic Association of Avian Veterinarians
  • Past President and current AVMA Alternate Delegate of the Delaware Veterinary Medical Association
  • Lecturer for exotic species and other course for Delaware Technical and Community College Veterinary Technician program
  • Member of the American Veterinary Medical Association
  • Member of The Association of Avian Veterinarians
  • Member of The Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians
  • Member of The Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians
  • Member of The American Association of Small Ruminant Practitioners
  • He is also is USDA accredited.

Dr Dawkins was awarded the Veterinarian of the Year by the Delaware Veterinary Medical Association in 2012.

His family includes his beautiful wife Jennifer and children – Collin, Bailey, Sidney, and Trevor. Family pets include two dogs, both border collies (Gilly and Jack) currently being trained for sheep herding trials; cats (Tahlula, Dorito, and Mango), a rabbit (Scooter), a tortoise (Tortillini), two chinchillas, a pen full of chickens and ducks and lastly, a small flock of sheep (for Gilly and Jack). His hobbies include woodworking, gardening, sheepdog training, reptiles, motorcycle riding, SCUBA, and sitting on the beach on a tropical island.

Donna L. W. Namey, VMD

Veterinarian, Part Owner

Donna L. W. Namey, VMD, graduated with the highest honors from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine after working several years at Jefferson University Hospital as an ASCP-certified medical technologist in their microbiology laboratory. She is a co-owner of the Windcrest Animal Hospital Group. Dr. Namey counts her veterinary school acceptance phone call as one of her most memorable experiences. This call allowed her to fulfill her childhood dream of a career caring for pets. She has a particular interest in ultrasonography with 30 years of experience. Dr. Namey and her husband, George, and their children, Jacob and Samuel, enjoy spending time together in their Hockessin historic home and at the Delaware beaches. She also enjoys gardening, paper-crafting, and her two dogs, Sunny, Maggie, and cat Raven.

Chris Ciconte

Controller

Chris Ciconte joined the Windcrest Animal Hospital Group in January of 2020. He brings twenty-years of experience in finance from the human-medicine world and has shifted those skills from Man to Man’s Best Friend. Chris is a lifelong native to Wilmington, Delaware.  He shares his life with his lovely wife, Anita, to whom he has been wed for thirty-one years.  The Ciconte family consists of twenty-six year old twins Corey and Christina as well as an English pointer lab named Shelby and a cat named Sandman to whom they are proud grand-pet parents. When the kids come to visit, so to do the grand pets come to visit.

Michelle Whiteman

Accounting Assistant

Michelle Whiteman is the accounting assistant extraordinaire for Windcrest Animal Hospital Group. She is native to this area, where she attended school locally. Her career began in the banking industry and she has extensive experience working in the fraud departments of some of the United States largest banking organizations. She is the proud mother of three children and she has an unwavering passion for all creatures great and small, and shares her home with resident felines. In her personal time she enjoys walking, yard work and helping others. Michelle’s five year goal is to become a Licensed Veterinary Nurse to expand her career in the veterinary profession.
